Exact many-body solutions for one dimensional ultracold trapped gases

Advances in trapping and cooling of atoms to
nano-Kelvin temperatures and below and the achievment
of Bose-Einstein condensation in weakly interacting
trapped gases have revived interest in exact solutions
for many-body problems. Here I will overview our work
on exact solutions for one-dimensional trapped gases and
the Fermi-Bose mapping that exists for hard core
interactions.
